Changes
๐ What's New in Fast Chunks v1.4.0
- ๐งน Autonomous Idle Chunk Trimmer & GC: Added
/fastchunks trim [world|all]and a background scanner that safely unloads idle chunks far outside player view bubbles, preventing memory bloat and reclaiming server RAM. - โฑ๏ธ Server Tick MSPT Overload Guard: Automatically monitors server millisecond-per-tick (MSPT). If high tick lag occurs (MSPT > 45ms), new terrain chunk generation is smoothly paused while async prefetching continues, eliminating exploration freezes.
- โ๏ธ Configurable Buffer Distances: Added
chunk-trimmer.buffer-distanceandinterval-minutesinconfig.ymlwith spawn protection guards. - ๐ Real-time MSPT Monitoring:
/fastchunks statsnow reports server MSPT alongside average chunk completion microsecond timings.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
