Changes
FeedMe 1.0.0
First release.
Feeding
- Right-click a player with food in your main hand and they eat it. The item is consumed, the target gets the same hunger and saturation as eating it themselves.
- Food values are read correctly on every supported version, including the saturation rework from Minecraft 1.21.2.
- Feeding works in a 3 block range by default. You can't feed yourself, and spectators and dead players are ignored.
- In creative the food isn't consumed, same as vanilla.
Confirmation
- The target gets a message with clickable [Accept] and [Deny] buttons.
- Requests expire after 30 seconds and are cancelled when the players move apart, when someone disconnects, or when the target opts out. Both timeouts and the whole system are configurable.
feedme.forceskips the prompt.
Cooldowns
- A global cooldown per feeder and a per-target cooldown, 10 and 30 seconds by default.
feedme.bypass.cooldownignores both. Cooldowns survive a relog.
Player choice
/feedme togglestops or resumes being fed. Pending requests are cancelled right away.
Stats
- The plugin tracks how many times a player fed someone and got fed.
- Numbers live in the player's Persistent Data Container, so they survive restarts and there is no extra database.
/feedme stats [player]shows them.
Commands
/feedme help, toggle, stats [player],accept,deny,reload.- Tab completion only offers commands you can actually use.
Localization
- English and Russian are bundled. Every player sees their own client language, missing lines fall back to English.
- An extra language is a single
messages_xx.ymlfile in thelangfolder.
Integrations
- PlaceholderAPI:
%feedme_fed%,%feedme_received%,%feedme_toggle%. The plugin runs fine without PAPI. - bStats metrics with two custom charts. Disable with
metrics: falsein the config.
Requirements
- Paper, Purpur or another Paper fork, 1.20.5 through 26.x.
- Java 21 or newer, though 26.x servers demand Java 25 on their own.
- Spigot, Folia and proxies are not supported.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
