Orbital Strike Cannon (OSC) — Power Rods

Turn fishing rods into a full arsenal of strikes, summons, and utility tools. OSC adds specially-named fishing rods that trigger powerful effects when cast — orbital TNT strikes, wolf packs, teleportation, a Wither skull barrage, and more.

This page describes the Paper plugin only. All rods, commands, permissions, and recipes listed below apply exclusively to the Paper plugin build. Other releases of this project (such as a vanilla datapack or Fabric mod) do not include these features unless stated otherwise on their own project page.

Every rod comes in a normal (one-use) and infinite (unbreakable, reusable) version, and most can be crafted or obtained via commands.

⚠️ Access & Permissions

Not every rod or command is available to every player:

• /osc and /stasis commands are OP-only by default. A non-OP player can only use them once an operator runs /authorize <player> on them.
• Wolf Pack 2, Wolf Pack 3, and the Wither Cannon are OP-only at all times — even authorized players cannot craft, give, or use these, regardless of /authorize status.
• All other rods (Nuke Shot pow3/pow5, Stab Shot, Stasis Shot, Area Ban Shot, Wither Shot) can be crafted normally in survival by anyone once discovered in the recipe book — crafting itself does not require authorization.
• /authorize, /unauthorize, and /authorize list are OP-only commands used to manage who can use /osc and /stasis.
• /areaban dismiss clears only the caller's own area bans for any player; clearing another player's bans or all bans (/areaban dismiss <player> / /areaban dismiss all) is OP-only.

If a player reports that a command "does nothing" or returns a permissions error, check whether they've been authorized or whether the specific rod is OP-restricted.

Infinite rods, Wolf Pack 2/3, and the Wither Cannon have no crafting recipe available to non-OP players — they are command-only and access-restricted.

Requirements

• Paper 1.21.11
• Because some rods spawn large amounts of TNT at once, raise max-tnt-per-tick in spigot.yml (10000+ recommended), or blasts will be throttled and visibly split into separate groups.

Notes

• The Stab Shot's payload intentionally includes hundreds of TNT entities — expect a brief lag spike on detonation; this is by design.
• Server owners: review the Access & Permissions section above before giving players broad OP status, since several rods are gated specifically to prevent griefing (Area Ban, Wither Cannon, large Wolf Packs).
• Compatibility: built and tested for Paper 1.21.11 only. It has not been verified on Spigot, Bukkit, or Fabric/Forge servers.
