Hardsur — a system of injuries, death, and reanimation
Hardsur is a plugin that transforms regular death in Minecraft into a fully-fledged survival mechanic. Upon death, the player becomes a "spirit," remains at the location of their death, and can only be brought back to the world by another player using the /live command. After this, they enter the "Wounded" state, with debuffs and reduced health.
Recovery occurs only in a bed, with a timer that can be sped up by players, mobs, effects, and items, or slowed by bad food. An enchanted golden apple completely heals injuries instantly. Dying again while in the "Wounded" state increases the severity of the injury.
The plugin adds a Death Compass, which displays all death points and allows for custom navigation to them. All mechanics, messages, particles, timers, food, and death logging are fully configurable via the config, with support for minecraft:id and modded items.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
