Changes
v1.0 - Initial Release
This is the first stable release of JapanizeChat. It provides a robust and secure way to convert Romaji to Japanese in real-time.
✨ New Features
- Google Transliterate API Integration: High-accuracy conversion that understands sentence context.
- Per-Player Toggle: Use
/jp toggleto enable or disable conversion display for yourself. - Persistent Settings: Each player's toggle state is saved in
plugins/JapanizeChat/players/[UUID].yml. - Customizable Colors: Change the conversion text color in
config.yml(supports Hex codes and standard colors). - Admin Commands: Added
/jp reloadto refresh the configuration without restarting the server.
🛡️ Security & Stability
- CVE-2025-48924 Mitigation: Hardened against "Uncontrolled Recursion" vulnerabilities by implementing Apache Commons Lang 3.20.0. This ensures server stability even with malicious chat inputs.
- Optimized for Java 21: Fully compatible with Paper/Purpur 1.20.5 through 1.21.x.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
