Compatibility
Changes
kMoney 1.6.0
kMoney 1.6.0 introduces a complete inventory GUI for the economy system, expands Paper compatibility, and includes all performance and bug fixes released in 1.5.1.
Highlights
- Added a complete inventory-based interface for
/money. - Added GUI flows for payments, withdrawals, the balance leaderboard, and administration.
- Expanded support to 14 Paper releases, from Minecraft 1.21 through 26.2.
- Reduced the minimum runtime requirement to Java 21.
- Centralized economy operations so commands and menus use the same validation, messages, sounds, and balance logic.
New inventory GUI
- Running
/moneynow opens a main menu showing the player's balance and available actions. - Added dedicated menus for:
- Paying another player.
- Withdrawing money into checks.
- Viewing the richest players.
- Adding, removing, or setting player balances.
- Reloading the plugin and toggling the admin join message.
- Added an online-player picker for payment and administration actions.
- Added chat-based amount input with support for
cancel. - Added permission-aware buttons so players only see actions they can use.
- Added configurable and translatable GUI titles, item names, lore, prompts, and navigation labels in
messages.yml. - Added
gui.top.enabledtoconfig.yml. Disable it to retain the classic chat output for/money top; console usage always uses chat output.
Economy and command improvements
- Added a shared
EconomyActionsservice for payments, balance administration, and check withdrawals. - Kept the existing command arguments available for direct command and console usage.
- Corrected command suggestions so
allis only suggested where it is supported. - Prevented integer overflow when requesting extremely high
/money toppages. - Expanded amount parsing and formatting with suffixes through
TVG(1e72).
Performance and reliability
- Improved leaderboard cache access and concurrency behavior.
- Fixed zero-balance checks for values such as
0.0by using scale-independentBigDecimalcomparison. - Fixed the displayed player name when attempting to remove money from an empty account.
- Improved MiniMessage parsing for tags containing quoted
>characters and malformed multiline tags. - Moved the update checker into the correct manager package.
- Reduced duplicated command logic through the economy-action refactor.
Compatibility
- Paper is the supported server platform.
- Supported Minecraft versions:
1.211.21.1through1.21.1126.1.126.1.226.2
- The plugin now emits Java 21-compatible bytecode while retaining Java 25 as its build toolchain.
- The project now compiles against the Paper 1.21 API to enforce the oldest supported API boundary.
- The development server version can be selected with
-PminecraftVersion=<version>for compatibility testing.
Paper does not provide concrete server releases for Minecraft 1.21.2 or 26.1, so those versions are intentionally not listed.
Behavior changes
/moneyopens the main GUI for players instead of printing the balance directly. Console senders continue to receive command-compatible output where applicable./money adminopens the administration GUI when run by a player./money topopens the leaderboard GUI by default. Setgui.top.enabled: falsefor the previous chat-based leaderboard.
Configuration notes
- Review the new
guisection inconfig.yml. - Add the new
guimessage section frommessages.ymlwhen maintaining customized configuration files. - PlaceholderAPI, Vault, and VaultUnlocked remain optional integrations.
Full comparison
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
