Changes
Fixes Discord list truncation by splitting long player-status output into multiple webhook messages and managing them as a sequence of message IDs instead of a single message.
What changed
-
Added multi-message sync support using discord.message-ids so large player lists are posted across multiple Discord messages instead of being cut off. Existing messages are edited in order, new messages are created when needed, and stale extra messages are deleted when list size shrinks.
-
Implemented chunking logic with a per-message safety cap (DISCORD_CHUNK_MAX = 1900) and line-aware assembly to keep each Discord message under the limit.
-
Added handling for overlong single lines by splitting them and logging a warning, preventing failures on unusually long lines.
-
Preserved backward compatibility by migrating legacy discord.message-id into discord.message-ids automatically on first sync.
-
Updated config docs/comments to explain new message-ids behavior and legacy migration path.
Outcome
-
Player lists no longer get cut off due to Discord content-length limits.
-
Sync remains automatic and consistent as player counts grow/shrink.
-
Existing installations continue to work without manual reconfiguration thanks to migration logic.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
