Update: Restraint System Rework
This update focuses on RP flow, restraint persistence, and reducing chat spam.
Changed
- Removed handcuff conditions based on standing still or low HP.
- Now if an officer uses handcuffs on a valid target, restraint is applied immediately.
- Escape attempts now count only on left mouse click (
LMB). - RP action output is now a single message per action (no duplicates).
Improved
- Escape notification spam was reduced.
- Progress/attempt notifications are now throttled by configured click interval.
- Restrained players are automatically switched to
ADVENTUREmode. - Restrained player movement speed is reduced (configurable).
Attach / Death / Restart Behavior
/attachnow sets a respawn anchor at the attach point.- Restrained state is no longer removed on death.
- Restrained state is no longer removed on disconnect.
- Restraints are now persisted across server restarts.
- Attached players remain restrained after restart/death until manually released.
New Persistence
- Added persistent storage for restrained players:
plugins/LawRPPlugin/restrained_players.yml
New Config Options
In configs/handcuffs.yml:
restrictions.force-adventure-moderestrictions.walk-speed-while-restrained

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
