Changes
Fixed
- The plugin did not load at all.
plugin.ymldeclaredauthors:with a single name where Bukkit expects a list, so the server rejected the plugin withInvalidDescriptionException: authors are of wrong type. This affected 1.0 as well. If LightVision never showed up in/plugins, this was why. - The darkness trigger never switched off again. Automatic night vision was written into the saved player state, so the check meant to take it away could never fire. Anyone who once stood in the dark kept night vision permanently, across restarts, even after the trigger was disabled. It is now tracked separately, never saved, and gives way as soon as the player uses
/lv. /lv unblock <name>could freeze the server. Offline lookups asked Mojang over the network on the main thread. Names now come from the server cache, a raw UUID works too, and unknown names finally report "player not found".- Night vision from potions and beacons is no longer stripped. The plugin only removes effects it handed out itself. Blocking a player still clears night vision outright.
/lv reloadapplies to everyone online. A changed world blacklist or a disabled darkness trigger used to take effect only after a world change or rejoin.- Tab completion no longer shows
block, unblock, reloadand the full player list to players withoutlv.admin.
Changed
data.ymlis written off the main thread, at most once a minute, and only when something changed. Blocking and unblocking still saves immediately.data.ymlno longer grows forever - only players who are actually on get stored.- The light check on movement is rate limited to twice a second per player instead of running on every block walked.
- Non-text values under
messagesare rejected with a console warning instead of silently becoming the word "true". - LightVision is now open source under the GNU General Public License v3.0: https://github.com/LucasTHCR/LightVision
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
