Changes
Fixed
- LightVision did not start on Spigot. Messages are written in MiniMessage, which is part of Adventure, and Adventure ships with Paper only.
onEnablebuilt the messenger before it registered the command, so on Spigot the plugin died there with aNoClassDefFoundErrorand left/lvanswering with nothing but the usage line fromplugin.yml. MiniMessage is now shaded into the plugin and its output is converted to legacy color codes before it is sent, so the same messages go out on both platforms. Gradients, nested tags and formatting keep working. /lv blockand/lv unblockused a Paper-only lookup to resolve an offline player. Names are now matched against the online players and the players the server already knows about, still without ever asking Mojang.
Changed
- Built against the Spigot API instead of the Paper API. Nothing in the plugin needed Paper, and building against the smaller API means a Paper-only call cannot slip in unnoticed again.
- Titles and the actionbar go through the Bukkit and Spigot APIs, which Paper and Spigot both provide. Title timings are unchanged.
Paper servers were never affected and see no difference beyond the fixed offline lookup.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
