MC-TRANSFER-X
Tired of complex proxy setups like BungeeCord just to move players between your servers? MC-TRANSFER-X is a modern, lightweight, and standalone plugin that allows you to transfer players seamlessly between servers with simple, custom commands. It's the perfect "plug-and-play" solution for server owners who want a straightforward transfer system without the overhead of a network proxy.
✨ Features
- No Proxy Needed: Utilizes the modern
player.transfer()API built into recent versions of Spigot/Paper (1.20.6+). Say goodbye to BungeeCord for simple server-to-server transfers! - Dynamic Commands: Create any number of custom transfer commands directly from a simple configuration file. If you want a
/survivalcommand, you can create it. If you want/event, you can create that too! - Robust Server Check: Before transferring a player, the plugin instantly pings the destination server to ensure it's online. This prevents players from being kicked into an error screen and provides them with clear feedback if a server is down.
- Dynamic Permissions: Each transfer command you create automatically has its own permission node (
mctransferx.<command>), giving you full control over which player groups can access which servers. - Easy to Use: A clean and straightforward configuration file makes setup a breeze.
📋 Requirements
- A Minecraft server running Spigot, Paper, or a compatible fork that supports the
player.transferAPI. - Recommended Minecraft Version: 1.20.6 or newer.
🚀 Installation
- Download the latest version of
MC-TRANSFER-X.jarfrom the releases page. - Place the
.jarfile into your server'spluginsdirectory. - Start or restart your server. This will generate the
plugins/MC-TRANSFER-Xfolder and the defaultconfig.yml. - Stop the server and edit the
config.ymlto define your server commands. - Start the server again, assign the permissions to your players, and you're ready to go!
⚙️ Configuration
The configuration is located in plugins/MC-TRANSFER-X/config.yml. The setup is intuitive. Under the command section, simply map the command name you want to use to the server address you want it to point to.
If you don't specify a port, the plugin will automatically use the default Minecraft port (25565).
Example config.yml:
# MC-TRANSFER-X Configuration
#
# Define your server transfer commands here.
# The format is: command_name: "server_ip:port"
# If you don't specify a port, the default port (25565) will be used.
command:
survival: "play.yourserver.com"
skyblock: "play.yourserver.com:25566"
creative: "192.168.1.100:25567"
🔐 Commands and Permissions
The plugin is designed with a simple and powerful permission system.
| Command | Permission | Description |
|---|---|---|
/trx reload |
mctransferx.reload |
Reloads the plugin's configuration file. (Default: OP) |
/<command> |
mctransferx.<command> |
Transfers the player to the server defined for that command. |
Permission Examples
Based on the example config.yml above:
- To use the
/survivalcommand, a player needs the permissionmctransferx.survival. - To use the
/skyblockcommand, a player needs the permissionmctransferx.skyblock. - To use the
/creativecommand, a player needs the permissionmctransferx.creative.
You can assign these permissions using any standard permissions plugin, such as LuckPerms.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
