Changelog — Win/Loss separation & Sumo win condition
Sumo
- Win condition: A player now wins only when all other players have been knocked off. Previously, the first elimination ended the match and the first remaining player was declared winner (e.g. in a 3‑player match, knocking one off caused an immediate win).
- Immediate defeat: When a player falls below the DQ height, they get the DEFEAT title right away and are exited to spawn. The match continues for everyone still on the platform.
- Match end: The match ends only when at most one player remains. The last player standing receives the VICTORY title; if everyone is eliminated, the match ends with no winner.
Implementation details
- SumoMatch
- Added
remainingPlayersto track who is still on the platform. - Added
getRemainingPlayers(),isInRemaining(Player), andeliminatePlayer(Player). - Elimination shows defeat immediately and ends the match only when 0 or 1 players remain.
- Added
- SumoListener
eliminatePlayerdelegates toSumoMatch.eliminatePlayerand returns whether the match ended.- On fall‑below‑DQ: if the match continues, the listener exits the eliminated player via
ExitHandler(ELIMINATION). - Added an eliminated‑but‑still‑in‑arena check (e.g. before teleport) that exits the player and skips the DQ logic.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
