v1.2.0 – The Placeholder Update
Introduces a brand-new integration point between MythicMobs and Skript: read global Skript variables directly inside any MythicMobs config field using a native custom Placeholder — no
skfunctionbridge required for simple value reads.
✨ New Syntax (Placeholders API)
- New Placeholder:
<skript.variable_name>— reads the value of a global Skript variable directly inside any MythicMobs config field that supports placeholders (messages, display names, numeric attributes, conditions, and more).
- List Variable Support:
<skript.my_list::1>— returns a single indexed value from a Skript list variable.<skript.my_list::*>— flattens the entire list variable into a single comma-separated string.
- Live Resolution: Values are read directly from Skript's variable storage at parse time, so any script that updates a global variable (a command, an event, another skill) is reflected immediately on the placeholder's next resolution — no reload required.
♻️ Core Refactoring & Improvements
- Clean Up: Cleaned up some code and comments. Nothing out of the ordinary.
📖 Check out the Wiki for a full guide and examples on how to use this new placeholder!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
