NefactPlugin 3.0.0
This update expands the Trial system, introduces the Dragon Sword, reworks the Blood Reaper, and adds language selection and a new way to summon the Zeus Trident.
Important
- The minimum declared Paper API version is now 1.21.11, lowered from 26.2. The intended server versions are Paper 1.21.11 and 26.2.
- Blood Reaper's previous tier system and
/bloodreapercommand have been removed. Existing items are not automatically rebuilt with the new item properties.
Added
- Added Earth Trial and Fire Trial, including their structures, key shards, keys, doors, loot, and Unknown Core rewards.
- Added Dragon Sword, which judges worthy opponents and charges its Dragon Strike through combat.
- Added
/zeusto summon or dismiss the Zeus Trident. - Added bundled language files for English, French, Spanish, and German, with English fallback for missing keys.
- Added a language selector in
/nefact gui.
Changed
- Completely reworked Blood Reaper.
- Added Blood Sense: carrying Blood Reaper reveals nearby players' blood trails within 50 blocks. Trails last up to 60 seconds and are visible only to the bearer.
- Added Bloodlust: Sneak + Right Click while aiming at a player at 50% health or less. It lasts 15 seconds and gains 10 seconds per player kill.
- Bloodlust grants +25% attack damage, +25% attack speed, and +20% movement speed, while increasing incoming damage by 15%.
- Zeus Trident now saves its bearer and summon state. Dismissing it preserves ownership; dropping it on the bearer's death allows another player to claim it.
- Updated Strength Sword so Dual Wield can become ready through a 5-hit combo or 50 accumulated hits against the same player.
- Reworked Scythe around a mace-based heavy weapon with custom attack attributes, while retaining its boomerang ability.
- Moved artifact recipes into
recipes.yml. Existing recipes inconfig.ymlare migrated whenrecipes.ymldoes not already exist. - Updated the default recipes for Blood Reaper and Zeus Trident, and added the Dragon Sword recipe. Existing configured recipes are preserved.
- Expanded localization across commands, menus, item lore, and gameplay messages.
/nefact reloadalso reloads the language files.
Interface improvements
- Disabled artifacts are hidden from
/nefact recipes. - The Components menu is hidden when Expensive Mace is disabled.
- Artifact recipe entries show Not Crafted / Already Crafted when the unique-artifact limit is enabled.
- Updated Lives Twist name displays to apply the life indicator to player nametags as well as display names and the player list.
Updating from 2.1.0
Stop the server, back up the NefactPlugin data folder, replace the old plugin JAR, and restart. Keep only one NefactPlugin JAR installed.
Existing configuration values are preserved. Review Blood Reaper's cooldown after upgrading: the new default is 45 seconds, but an existing value of -1 still disables the cooldown. Legacy Blood Reaper tier settings no longer control the reworked artifact. Newly created items receive the new properties and the selected language's lore; existing items are not automatically refreshed.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
