π ObscureRTPQ v1.0.0-RELEASE
We are excited to announce the initial stable production release of ObscureRTPQ! This plugin introduces a robust, asynchronous, high-performance matchmaking queue system optimized for Paper 1.21.1+ servers. Designed with competitive PvP setups and modded events in mind, it provides smooth matchmaking functionality paired with seamless, thread-safe random teleportation. π Key Highlights 𧡠High-Performance Asynchronous Architecture
Non-Blocking Queue Management: Uses Java ConcurrentLinkedQueue utilities to prevent thread lockups or main-thread performance hitches, regardless of how many players join the queue.
Async Location Calculations: Coordinates are determined on background worker threads via CompletableFuture. Your server's TPS stays pegged at a solid 20.0, even while loading and checking safe block locations.
πΊοΈ Native Multi-World & Multiverse Integration
Live World Registry Mapping: Automatically scans all active worlds loaded by Paper or managed by Multiverse-Core.
Dynamic In-Game Configuration Menu (/rtpq config): Admins can open an interactive inventory chest GUI to toggle matchmaking per world instantly without touching text files. Updates sync straight to the config.yml on click!
Smart World Guards: Strict runtime logic filters out players who attempt to bypass server boundaries or change worlds midway through a matchmaking pool.
π οΈ Administrative & Customization Tools
Live Sandbox Debug Mode: Toggle solo simulation loops via /rtpq debug to test configurations, audio profiles, and teleport vectors alone without requiring a second test player.
Total Configuration Control: Tailor every chat string (with full color-code legacy support) and sound effect profile directly inside the localized config.yml.
π§ Changelog & Code Refactoring (Pre-Release)
Fixed: Resolved ClassNotFoundException issues by correcting the plugin.yml main entry path to map cleanly to the updated obscure.main structure.
Fixed: Corrected an internal reference mismatch where QueueManager looked for an incorrect type signature layout during initialization.
Improved: Upgraded queue pairing validations to run safety scans after pairing but before teleport processing, stopping cross-world queue glitches before they start.
Optimized: Adjusted the plugin bootstrap sequence to POSTWORLD loading constraints, ensuring full cross-dependency compliance across external teleport libraries and multi-world managers.
π¦ Artifact Installation Steps
Drop the compiled ObscureRTPQ-1.21.11.jar into your server's /plugins/ directory.
(Optional) Ensure ObscureTeleport or Multiverse-Core are loaded if you want native hook integrations.
Restart or start your Paper server instance.
Assign the permission obscurertpq.use to your standard player tiers and obscurertpq.admin to your administrative/staff groups.
Run /rtpq config in-game to switch on the worlds you want to support!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
