Changes
OpenChestSorter 1.0.0 release.
Compatibility:
- Built for Paper servers.
- Supports Minecraft Java 1.21.x.
- Source compatibility checked against Paper 26.1.2 API.
- Server-side only: no client mod or resource pack required.
- Designed for Java players and Bedrock players connecting through Geyser/Floodgate.
Features:
- Automatically sorts ordinary single and double chests when opened.
- No sneak-click, command, client mod, or custom UI required.
- Safely merges similar stacks using Bukkit ItemStack#isSimilar.
- Keeps named, damaged, enchanted, and custom items separate when they are not similar.
- Skips sorting by default if another player is already viewing the same chest.
- Shows a small one-shot player-colored vanilla particle effect above the opened chest.
- Includes admin commands: /ocs status, /ocs reload, /ocs sort.
Safety:
- Does not edit blocks, generate chunks, rewrite world files, use a database, send telemetry, or make external network calls.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
