Release 1.14 - The Editor & Customization Update
This update adds more control over pedestal appearance, easier editing, and live recipe previews.
New Features
- Hologram Height Controls: Separate height settings for pedestals with and without recipes, configurable through the GUI and
config.yml. - Expanded Particle Controls: Adjust circle radius, height, speed, type, density, and color, including custom HEX colors.
- Collision Barrier Toggle: Enable or disable the physical 1 × 1 × 2 barrier while keeping the pedestal clickable.
- Reset Buttons: Restore hologram settings, particle settings, or the entire appearance without changing recipes or gameplay.
- Appearance Presets: Save and apply complete designs, including holograms, particles, collision, and animations.
- Undo Last Change: Reverse editor changes, moves, or preset applications through the GUI or
/pedestal undo [name]. - Recipe Preview: Preview missing ingredients, ready ingredients, or your actual inventory. Simulated previews are visible only to the inspecting admin.
Bug Fixes
- Centered Particle Circles: Fixed circles appearing off-center around pedestals.
- Barrier Cleanup: Fixed leftover barriers when moving, disabling, deleting, or discarding a pedestal.
- Settings Persistence: New appearance settings survive restarts and cloning.
- Preview Cleanup: Recipe previews and unsaved editor drafts clear when players leave or disconnect.
Improvements & Technical Changes
- Organized Editor: Controls are grouped into Recipe, Appearance, and Gameplay pages.
- Live Adjustments: Hologram and particle changes preview immediately.
- Chunk Handling: Particle circles skip unloaded chunks, including neighboring chunks.
- Safer Editing: Chat edits run on the server thread, preset saves run in the background, and GUI clicks and drags respect menu boundaries.
- Build Verification: Added Java 21 build checks and 12 passing regression tests.
Upcoming Update - Easier Crafting Clicks
- Larger Crafting Hitbox: Increased the click target to 1.5 × 1.5 × 2.5 blocks, making the pedestal and floating reward easier to target. Physical collision remains 1 × 1 × 2 blocks.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
