Changes
You are finalizing PixelWarp into a fully production-safe plugin.
Fix all remaining edge cases and stability risks.
TASKS
- RELOAD SPAM PROTECTION
- Add cooldown (5 seconds)
- Reject rapid reload calls
- BACKUP CONFIRMATION
- Require: /warp backup confirm
- ASYNC WRITE SAFETY
- Track pending write operations
- On reload/shutdown: wait until all writes complete
- Prevent data loss
- CACHE-STORAGE CONSISTENCY
- Ensure: cache update ONLY after successful write
- If write fails: rollback cache change
- ENCRYPTION KEY CHANGE HANDLING
If key changed:
- Detect mismatch
- Log warning
- Attempt fallback using backup
- If still fails: enter read-only mode
- FILE SIZE MANAGEMENT
- Add optional compression (GZIP)
- Or optimize JSON structure
- MIGRATION SAFETY
- On duplicate warp: skip + log
- Do NOT overwrite existing data
- HARD FAILSAFE MODE
If:
- file corrupt
- backup corrupt
- decryption fails
Then:
- do NOT crash
- enter safe read-only mode
- disable write operations
GOAL
- Zero data loss
- Safe under all edge cases
- Fully production-ready plugin
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
