Changes
PowerSystem 1.0.0 — Initial Release
First public release of PowerSystem, a modular energy framework for Paper servers.
✨ Added
- Generators: Coal Generator, Solar Panel, Wind Turbine, Advanced Generator, and optional Nuclear Generator (with temperature simulation and meltdown risk)
- Batteries: configurable capacity, input/output limits, and charge efficiency
- Cables: 4 tiers (Basic, Advanced, Elite, Ultimate), each with its own capacity, energy loss per block, and maximum range
- Energy Networks: automatic network formation with unique IDs; networks merge and split automatically as cables/devices are placed or broken
- Automatic energy distribution: machines are prioritized, batteries absorb surplus and discharge to cover demand
- Device GUIs: every generator, battery, cable, and machine shows a live energy bar, input, output, and capacity
- PowerSystemAPI: public API for third-party plugins to create generators, batteries, cables, custom machines, and manage networks programmatically
- SQLite persistence: optional, with autosave and safe handling of chunk load/unload and server restarts
- Admin command:
/powersystemwithinfo,networks,reload, andsavesubcommands - Full configuration: all generator stats, battery defaults, tick interval, and storage toggle available in
config.yml
⚡ Performance
- Network topology is only recomputed when a device is placed or removed — no per-tick full-world scanning
- Tick simulation cost scales only with the number of active devices per network, not with loaded chunks
📋 Requirements
- Paper 1.20.4+
- Java 17+
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
