Changes
š New in QuickChat: Custom Chat Placeholders
A new system for interactive custom placeholders has been implemented, fully managed through its own configuration file:
š chat-placeholders.yml
- ⨠Unlimited Interactive Triggers: Create custom chat keywords such as
[bal],[ping],[skills], and more. - ā” PlaceholderAPI Integration: Replace triggers with any PlaceholderAPI variable, supporting both
%variable%and${variable}formats. - š±ļø Hover Tooltips & Click Actions: Display information when hovering over a trigger and allow users to interact by clicking, including opening URLs or suggesting commands such as
/pay <player>natively, without triggering Mojang confirmation warnings. - šØ Full Color Support: Compatible with Vanilla colors (
&a), RGB Hex Colors (&#RRGGBB), gradients, and native shadows available in 1.21.4+. - š Anti-Injection & Permissions: Players cannot inject arbitrary PlaceholderAPI variables. Each trigger has its own permission and customizable denial message.
- š Cross-Server Support (Redis): Instant synchronization across BungeeCord/Velocity networks while preserving hover and click interactions between servers.
- š¦ 100% Compatibility: Optimized performance and tested from Spigot 1.8 through Paper/Folia 1.21+.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
