βοΈ How to get started
1. Install
Drop ReimaginedFishing-1.0.0.jar into your /plugins/ folder.
Also install Vault and an economy plugin (EssentialsX recommended).
Restart your server.
2. Config files are auto-generated
No manual setup required. All files generate on first run:
config.ymlβ database settingsgoals.ymlβ your progression chainfishing.ymlβ all fishing settingsfish.ymlβ fish definitions
3. Set your goals
Open goals.yml and set realistic targets for your player count.
Default Stage 1 target is $10,000,000 server-wide.
For a 10-player server, consider lowering this to $500,000 for the first week.
4. Players start earning money
Any economy source works β jobs, shops, quests, manual /eco give.
The plugin tracks Vault balance deltas automatically.
5. Stage 1 completes β Fishing unlocks
Server-wide broadcast fires. Every online player sees the title screen. Players can now cast a fishing rod into water and start fishing.
6. Players fish β Stage 2 fills up
Every fish caught contributes to the Stage 2 goal (500,000 fish server-wide).
π§ Admin quick reference
/goals β Open goals GUI (or text summary from console)
/goals skip β Force-complete the current active stage (for testing)
/goals reset all confirm β Wipe all progress and start over
/goals reload β Reload goals.yml without restarting
/fishing admin giveshards <amount> β Give yourself shards for testing
/fishing admin givexp <amount> β Give yourself fishing XP
/fishing admin setlevel <level> β Set your fishing level
β οΈ Known limitations in this release
- Stages 3β5 (Spawners, Mob Tokens, Bosses, KOTH) are config placeholders β they show in the GUI but won't fill up until those systems are built in future updates
- Lava fishing coming in v2.0
- Biome-based fish pools coming in a future update
πΊοΈ What's coming next
- v2.0 β Lava fishing, Fire Rod upgrade, Creeper Eggs
- v2.1 β Biome-based fish pools
- v3.0 β Spawner system integration

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
