Changes
Runs on Minecraft 26.3. While testing it on a real server I found a handful of bugs, some of them nasty, so most of this release is fixes.
Changed
- Built against Paper 26.3 and WorldEdit 7.4. Needs Java 21+ and WorldEdit 7.3+ now; supported servers are Paper 1.21 through 26.3.
- New snapshots are written as Sponge v3 schematics in one folder per arena
(
snapshots/<arena>/<snapshot>.schem). Snapshots from 1.1.0 keep their old file and still restore. - Snapshot files are compressed and written off the main thread; restores read the file in the background and only paste on the main thread.
- Arena and snapshot names are limited to letters, numbers,
-and_(max 32). - The console and command blocks can take snapshots.
- Scheduled restores no longer print two lines to the console every time they run. Turn on
debug-modeif you want them logged. /ri statusshows running restores as well as snapshots being saved.- Deleting a snapshot that a schedule uses removes that schedule too.
- The startup log is down to a couple of lines.
/ri arena createexplains why it failed (no selection, too big, bad name) and warns when the new arena overlaps another one.- Removed config options that never did anything:
storage.*,performance.batch-size,general.auto-save-intervalandadvanced.*. An out-of-range value now falls back to its default instead of the middle of the allowed range.
Added
/ri arena validate <name>checks your selection and the name (it used to say "coming soon").
Fixed
- Deleting an arena with different capitalisation (
/ri arena delete duelforDuel) left it inarenas.yml, so it came back after a restart. - Deleting an arena left its snapshots and schedule behind. A new arena with the same name then inherited them, and restoring pasted the old build into the new spot.
- Restores bigger than
batch-size x 1000blocks (100,000 at the lowest setting) failed partway. - A restore that took longer than 30 seconds was reported as failed while it was still pasting.
- A refused restore (arena already restoring, too many at once) didn't tell you anything.
- Messages with a name in quotes showed a literal
{0}instead of the name. - Clicking an arena or snapshot in a list ran
/arena infoor/snapshot info, which don't exist. - Help text pointed at
/arena ...and/snapshot ...instead of/restoreit .... - Arena snapshot counts in
/ri arena list,infoandstatswere always 0. - Arena
a_bwith snapshotcand arenaawith snapshotb_cshared one file. - A name like
../xwrote files outside the plugin folder. - A snapshot that failed to save blocked that name until the next restart.
- Stopping the server wrote the in-memory config back to disk, undoing any edits made to
config.ymlwhile it was running. - Two snapshots saving at once could lose one of them from
snapshots.yml. - Taking a snapshot of an arena whose world isn't loaded threw an exception instead of saying so.
/ri versioncredited "RestoreIt Team".
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
