Changes
RiddlesLabsRegionManager – 1.1.14ac
Rebrand & Command Migration
- Renamed the plugin to RiddlesLabsRegionManager.
- Replaced all
/nrmcommands and bundled menu actions with/rrm. - Migrated permission nodes from
nrm.*torrm.*. - Updated Java packages, plugin entry point, artifact names, messages, and documentation.
- Added automatic migration from the previous plugin and zMenu folders while preserving the originals as backups.
- Prevented the legacy and renamed versions of the plugin from running simultaneously.
- Preserved existing template IDs, region IDs, marker-sign bindings, and display modes during migration.
- Limited automated text replacements to configuration files, language files, and menus to avoid modifying unrelated saved data.
Legacy Compatibility
- Retained support for legacy sign headers alongside the new
[RRM]header. - Added migration and sign-compatibility tests.
- Added compatibility handling for renamed enchantments and particles.
- Added support for optional trail particles.
- Added compatibility with older WorldEdit APIs.
Platform Support
- Officially defined supported platforms as:
- Paper 1.20+
- Folia 1.20.1+
- Lowered the plugin bytecode requirement to Java 17 for broader server compatibility.
- Removed unnecessary API-version rejection on supported servers.
- Added runtime platform detection for Paper and Folia.
- Added platform-aware scheduler handling for both server implementations.
- Combined Paper and Folia support into a single universal JAR.
- Removed the separate Folia build profile and
-foliaartifact suffix. - Enabled Folia support metadata in the shared plugin descriptor.
- Retained Folia-specific economy and financial-expiry restrictions where required.
Paper API Compatibility
Compatibility was validated across multiple Paper API targets during development, including:
- Paper 26.3 beta build 134
- Paper 26.2
- Paper 1.21+
- Older supported Paper 1.20+ APIs
The final compatibility target was expanded to support Paper 1.20+ while retaining compatibility checks against newer APIs.
Startup & Configuration Improvements
- Separated economy selection and command registration from the primary startup process.
- Fixed command configuration remaining stale after
/reloador plugin reload operations. - Improved initialization failure handling.
- Database connections are now properly closed when initialization fails and the plugin falls back to JSON storage.
Input & Wizard Compatibility
- Added private chat-based input when native wizard input screens are unavailable.
- Added:
- Input validation
- Cancellation handling
- Input timeouts
- Disconnect cleanup
- Duplicate-confirmation protection
This allows configuration workflows to remain functional across a wider range of supported Paper and Folia versions.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
