Vanilla-balance review
A full pass to keep RPGLoot as a lightweight, vanilla-friendly complement instead of a heavy RPG overhaul, informed by comparison with other RPG-loot plugins.
Closed stacking gaps:
- Crit Chance (item + set bonus combined) now capped at 35%
- Bleeding proc chance cap lowered from 75% to 60% combined
- Fortune/XP/Auto-Smelt ceiling lowered from 70% to 50% (Legendary)
- Replant Chance ceiling lowered from 90% to 60% (Legendary)
New: admin-tunable power level
- Rarity damage/speed multipliers and all bonus-stat ranges are now configurable directly in
config.ymlunderrarity-multipliersandbonus-stat-ranges - Ships with the exact same values as before — zero behavior change out of the box
- Reload-safe via
/rpgloot reload
New: cosmetic-only mode
- New
stats-enabled: true/falsetoggle inconfig.yml - When set to
false, items keep their generated name, rarity color, and lore tag — but grant no attribute bonuses, no bonus stats, and no set bonuses - Lets servers that just want RPGLoot's flavor (names, rarity colors, boss/structure loot variety) run it with zero impact on PvP/PvE balance
No breaking changes. Existing items in player inventories are unaffected.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
