Changes
- Refreshed /rg help and /rg history with clearer sections, stable record numbering, and improved clickable pagination.
- Fixed bare /rg and /rulegems commands opening the player GUI consistently across command backends.
- Added optional proximity-based gem displays, using BlockDisplay entities on Minecraft 1.19.4+ and an ArmorStand fallback on older servers.
- Reworked gem escape behavior into a global cycle with configurable selection, local movement, retries, and fallback scattering.
- Preserved existing gem UUIDs during scatter operations while resetting locations, ownership, grants, and allowances.
- Improved compass navigation to avoid exposing exact gem coordinates through compass target packets.
- Strengthened gem custody protection, including crafting slots, off-hand inventory transfers, shulker boxes, bundles, and duplicate cleanup.
- Fixed LuckPerms permission node writes.
- Added QuickShop-Hikari purchase, sale, and shop-creation protection. RuleGems now refuses startup if QuickShop is detected but the required protection hooks cannot be registered.
- Improved YAML and SQLite persistence with stricter validation, safer saves, backups, and emergency recovery snapshots. Unreadable data is no longer treated as an empty server.
- Improved reload validation and cleanup, preserving active state when input validation fails and blocking reload when required saves fail.
- Fixed compatibility with persisted unlimited-use command counters using -1.
- Hardened optional economy transfers with compensation handling and persistent retry protection for uncertain outcomes.
- Added /rg transfer-review list and /rg transfer-review resolve for manual reconciliation of protected transfers.
- Improved persistence of appointments and revoke cooldowns, startup grant restoration, and history pagination.
- Updated SQLite JDBC to 3.53.2.0 and strengthened dependency verification and automated quality checks.
NOTE
- Stop the server and back up the complete RuleGems data directory, including any custom SQLite database path, before replacing the jar.
- Existing gem identities, counters, and core storage formats remain compatible. Default merging preserves custom settings.
- Built-in transfer: directives remain disabled by default. Review protected transfers before downgrading; older versions do not recognize the new retry guards.
- Review gem_escape.min_interval and max_interval: they now control a global cycle rather than individual gem timers.
- Run /rg doctor after upgrading and verify ownership, appointments, remaining uses, and economy behavior.
- RuleGems remains independently installable; CubeXLib is not required.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
