SeasonsCore 1.4 – Villager biome bug fix
A critical bug with villagers has been fixed.
In this plugin, when SeasonsCore repaints biomes, we only use four target biomes for seasonal changes. Unfortunately, this caused swamp villagers and other biome-specific villagers to disappear.
To solve this, villagers from the biomes that no longer exist in the world are now redistributed across villages. This way, players will never completely lose access to biome-specific trades, like Mending and other rare books.
Every 5 in-game days, these special villagers will refresh.
Once a player trades with a villager, that villager becomes locked: their profession, trades, and appearance will no longer update. This keeps the villager hunt system alive, but in a more controlled way that avoids bugs caused by biome changes.
Because of how biome painting works, we can’t keep every original biome as it is, but this solution guarantees that all important villagers remain accessible in a stable and predictable way.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
