The Customization Update
New Features:
Dynamic Messages System: Added messages.yml support. Every message, including the prefix, can now be fully customized.
Instant Reload: The /simplepc reload command now updates both the configuration and all message strings in real-time without requiring a server restart.
Intelligent Version Checking: Rewritten the update checker to compare version numbers mathematically. It will no longer notify you if your current version is newer than the one on Modrinth (useful for developers).
Enhanced Console Output: * Added a custom ASCII logo during the plugin enable sequence.
Migrated all console logs to ConsoleSender for full color support and cleaner formatting.
User Experience Improvements:
Tab-Completion: Full support for command arguments and promo code names.
Audio Feedback: Added ENTITY_VILLAGER_CELEBRATE sound effect upon successful code redemption.
Paper API Validation: Added an internal check to ensure the plugin is running on a Paper-based server for stability.
Bug Fixes:
Resolved an issue where messages would duplicate the prefix in the chat.
Fixed a bug where configuration changes to messages.yml required a full server reboot to apply.
Improved error handling for missing configuration keys; the plugin will now display a Missing message warning instead of throwing an exception.
Installation:
Replace the existing .jar file with the new version. The messages.yml file will be automatically generated upon the first launch.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
