Changes
SimplyFlashback 0.1.2
Added
- Player chat is now recorded in replays. It is saved as normal chat that Flashback can play.
- Replays now start with the player's health, food and XP, the world border and scoreboard team colors.
- Particles and map data are now recorded.
- Minecraft 26.3: stepped entity movement now plays smoothly.
- The hotbar is recorded slot by slot.
- The log now warns when a replay has gaps. It reports dropped or unencodable packets, an unreadable movement packet, and a Minecraft version that only has the closest adapter.
Changed
- Replays and clips are now saved as
.zipfiles, not.flashback. Existing.flashbackfiles are still listed, counted and cleaned up as before. - The recording buffer is bigger, so busy moments are less likely to lose data.
- Recording no longer pauses movement when the server's TPS is low. Only chunk filling pauses.
Fixed
- One bad entity or item can no longer stop a recording from advancing.
- A failed save no longer loses the recording silently. It is kept in memory and written when the recording stops.
- Replay files are written to a temporary file first, so a crash can't leave a broken replay. Leftover temporary files are cleaned up on startup.
- Server shutdown now saves all active recordings together within 30 seconds, so the server no longer hangs on stop.
- Missing or outdated terrain after leaving and returning to an area.
- Holes in the map right after a recording starts or you change dimension.
- Recording chunks could be written out of order after a disk error.
- A recording that failed to rebuild after a dimension change now ends cleanly instead of hanging.
- Folia: players far away could be listed in a replay without their tab-list entry.
- Minecraft 26.3: entities no longer freeze at their spawn point.
- The first-person inventory crash in Flashback playback.
Removed
- Particles and map data are no longer filtered out of replays.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
