Overview SkBetterModels 0.1.1-alpha is a major improvement release focused on expanding BetterModel support in Skript, improving animation controls, and fixing several compatibility and runtime issues.
Improvements Advanced BetterModel Animation Playback Added advanced animation playback support with configurable:
Animation speed
Start and end frame ranges
Override behaviour
Play-once animation mode
Specific affected bones Example:
play bettermodel animation {_animation} for {_tracker} with speed 1.5 from 0 to 20 with override true as "play once" on bones {_boneName}
BetterModel Body Rotation Improved body-rotation handling with support for multiple rotation behaviours and timing options.
BetterModel Tracker Support Expanded tracker functionality and improved support for working with BetterModel entity and dummy trackers directly from Skript.
Bone Support Improved per-bone animation handling, including the ability to target individual bones by name.
Event API Added BetterModel event integrations for tracker creation, tracker visibility, model spawning, model despawning, animation playback, hitbox interactions, and animation signals.
Tint Support Fixed model tint colour handling for Skript 2.16.1 by correctly converting Skript's ColorRGB values into the packed RGB format required by BetterModel.
Bug Fixes Fixed a body-rotation parser issue caused by multiple effect registrations.
Fixed BetterModel animation section initialisation errors.
Fixed bone animation updates using unsupported tracker methods.
Fixed Skript colour handling in set tint of model.
Improved compatibility with Skript 2.16.1 and BetterModel 3.x.
Reduced runtime errors caused by invalid tracker or animation states. Compatibility Tested against:
Paper 1.21.11
Minecraft 1.21.11
Skript 2.16.1
BetterModel 3.4.1
Java 25 Known Issues Some BetterModel event values are still being refined in the current alpha release, including several tracker-related event values and the animation-signal event value.
The model ... has passenger condition also requires further parser work.
These limitations are expected to be addressed in a future release.
Release Status 0.1.1-alpha
This release significantly expands the addon compared with earlier builds, but it remains an alpha release while the remaining event-value and parser issues are being finalised.
Important This version is suitable for testing and development. Production servers should use caution until the remaining alpha issues have been resolved.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
