v1.2.2 — Held-Passive Update
New
- Passives now follow the held staff, not the assigned class. Hold the Druid staff → +2 hearts max HP. Hold the Monk staff → double jump + no fall damage. Swap to any other staff → those passives drop, and the passive for the new staff (if any) kicks in. Max HP is snapped to 24/20 as the player switches.
/staffadmin energy <player> <0-5>— operators can now set a player's energy directly. Value is clamped to 0–5, both the sender and target get a confirmation message, and the amount arg tab-completes to0–5.
Changes
- Rerollers and Energy Bottles are now freely storable — you can put them in chests, ender chests, item frames, and drop them like any other item. Only class staves stay locked to their owner.
- The old join-time passive re-apply is gone; a lightweight per-second tick + hotbar/inventory-close/respawn/swap event hooks keep the held-passive state in sync.
v1.2.1 — Fixes & polish
Changes
- Class Reroller and Energy Bottle can no longer be crafted. The recipes were removed — get rerollers from
/staffadmin give <player> rerollerand bottles from/staffsmp withdraw <n>. - Energy Bottle's base item is now Glass Bottle (was Blaze Rod). Custom-model-data value unchanged.
Fixes
- Ranger no longer takes fall damage for 10 seconds after using the wind-charge ability — the rocket-jump lands safely.
- Druid hearts persist across relog + gamemode change. The +2-hearts max HP no longer resets to 24 on every login.
- New:
/staffadmin fixhearts <player>— snaps a player's max HP back to the value dictated by their class (24 for Druid, 20 for everyone else).
v1.2.0 — Energy Update
New
- Energy system — every player has a 0-to-5 energy gauge. Your staff's damage, push strength, durations, and heal amounts all scale linearly with your energy. At 0 the staff stops working entirely.
- Death economy — dying transfers 1 energy to the killer if they're a player below max; otherwise an Energy Bottle drops at the death location.
- Energy Bottle — craftable item. Right-click to drink and gain +1 energy.
/staffsmp withdraw <number>converts stored energy into bottles./staffsmp energyshows your current energy.
Fixes
- Wizard teleport no longer drops you into solid blocks.
- Ranger wind charge works from a standing start.
- Monk double jump can no longer be spammed into flight.
- Monk dash is now mainly horizontal.
- Mage slow-fall now ends the moment you hit the ground.
v1.1.0 — Reroller Update
New
- Class Reroller — craftable item. Right-click opens a class-picker GUI;
reroller.gui: falsemakes it instant-random instead. /staffadmin give <player> rerollerto grant one directly.- Per-ability boss bar cooldowns replace action-bar text. Stacks for multiple cooldowns, color-coded by class.
Changes
- Wind charge spawns at the player's feet — guaranteed rocket-jump.
- Mage fireball and Druid heal ball now render their custom 3D projectile models in flight.
- First-staff effects (totem flash + dragon death sound) play only once per player.
/staffsmp startnow re-rolls every online player.- Drop protection extended to item frames and armor stands.
Fixes
- Self-damage from staff abilities blocked.
- Trust now covers projectile damage, not just direct AoE.
- Operators no longer bypass drop restrictions.
- Recipe survives
/reload.
v1.0.0 — Initial release
Five classes, /class self-pick, /staffsmp random-roll mode, trust system, anti-drop and keep-on-death protection.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
