v2.0 - The Economy & Ghost Update
Date: 2026-06-13
The biggest update yet to sTimeSteal! Version 2.0 brings massive changes to how time is managed, stolen, and spent.
β¨ New Features:
- Ghost Mode: Eliminated players are no longer stuck in standard Spectator mode or banned. They now become invisible "Ghosts" in Adventure mode. Ghosts cannot break/place blocks, pick up/drop items, deal damage, or take damage. They must rely on others to craft a Revive Beacon.
- Time Bank System: Added
/timebank. Players can now deposit time into a safe bank to protect it from death penalties. Server owners can configure a deposit fee (default 5%) to combat time inflation. - Bounty System: Added
/bounty. You can now place bounties on other players using your own time! The killer automatically receives the bounty reward upon securing the kill. - Leaderboards: Added
/timetopto display the top 10 wealthiest players (combining their on-hand time and banked time). - Grace Period: New players now get a configurable grace period where their time cannot be stolen, and they cannot steal from others.
- Time-Infused Abilities: Added two new craftable items (configured in
recipes.yml):- Time Sword: Drains 5 minutes per hit but deals heavy bonus damage.
- Time Shield: Instantly consumes 30 minutes to reverse a fatal blow, restoring your health and preventing death.
- Beacon Tiers: Introduced the Greater Revive Beacon, crafted with an Emerald Block, which grants the revived player twice the standard starting time!
π§ Tweaks & Fixes:
- Optimized
TimeManagerdata saving. Leaderboards and banks are now updated efficiently without causing server lag. - Improved GUI interactions for the Revive Beacon.
(Note: Make sure to let config.yml and recipes.yml regenerate, or manually add the new config sections for the 2.0 features!)
v1.1 - The Initial Release
Date: Previous Release

- Time Status effects: Gives slowness when running out of time, and speed when sitting on large amounts of time.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
