โ๏ธ StrengthSMP v1.1.0 Changelog
๐ New Feature: Weapon Binding System (/bind)
Bind your class weapon to your soul to ensure you never lose your competitive edge:
- Binding Interface: Run
/bindto open a custom 27-slot GUI with confirmation slots and real-time validation. - Costs: Binding a new weapon costs 3 Strength. Swapping to a different class weapon costs 1 Strength.
- Keep-on-Death & Loyalty Return: Bound items are kept in your inventory when you die. Upon respawning, a custom spinning Loyalty-style animation launches the weapon back into your hands, knocking back any intermediate entities in its flight path.
- Accidental Drop Prevention: Drop inputs (
Q) are silently cancelled for bound items. - Statistics Grimoires: The binding GUI displays 5 custom stats-tracking books:
- Souls Harvested: Tracks cumulative PvP kills and lists your recent victims.
- Damage Dealt: Tracks total cumulative damage dealt.
- Soul Sacrifices: Tracks deaths occurred while holding the weapon.
- Duration Bound: Shows elapsed real-time since binding.
- Ability Triggers: Counts active class ability uses.
๐ฒ New Feature: Animated Reroll Book GUI
- Right-clicking a Reroll Book (Weapon Reroll grimoire item) now triggers a cinematic, crate-style scrolling shuffle screen (
WeaponShuffleGUI). - The GUI scrolls through all available classes and dynamically decelerates, ending on your new destiny with thunder sounds and visual particles.
- Anti-Exploit: Closing the inventory early immediately finalizes the choice to prevent rollback exploits.
๐งฉ PlaceholderAPI Additions
We have expanded our placeholders to support the new binding features:
%strengthsmp_has_bound_weapon%โ ReturnsYesorNoif the player has a bound weapon.%strengthsmp_bound_weapon_class%โ Returns the display name of the bound weapon (e.g.Sword,Axe) orNone.
โ๏ธ Universal Compatibility & Stability Patches
- Dynamic Skulls Fallback: Rewrote profile generation to use reflection-based Mojang
GameProfileon older versions (1.16.5 - 1.17) and Spigot'sPlayerProfileAPI on 1.18+, eliminating startup class-loading crashes. - Safe Particle & Sound Resolvers: Added runtime resolvers with retro-compatibility fallbacks to ensure modern particles (e.g. Sculk/Sonic boom) and sounds don't crash servers running older Minecraft versions.
- 1.20.5+ Particle Migration: Automatically maps legacy block crack particles to the new consolidated block particle system on 1.20.5+ / 1.21+ servers.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
