π SwiftCode v1.0 - The Revolution Begins!
We are excited to announce the first official release of SwiftCode, the ultimate runtime Java engine for Minecraft servers. This version introduces the core "Engine + API" architecture designed for speed, security, and stability.
π§ Core Engine Features
- Disposable ClassLoader: Complete memory isolation. Scripts are fully cleared from RAM upon reload, ensuring zero memory leaks.
- Instant Reload: Apply code changes in real-time with
/swift reloadβno server restarts required. - Security Sandbox: Advanced pre-compiler scanning that blocks dangerous commands (e.g., System.exit, ProcessBuilder) to keep your server safe.
- Smart Error Handler: Human-readable error reports that pinpoint the exact line and file of any script failure.
π οΈ Swift API Integration
- Ultra-Fast Development: Write complex logic in 70% fewer lines compared to native Java plugins.
- Simplified GUIs: Create interactive menus with a single line of code.
- Built-in Webhooks: Native, asynchronous Discord webhook support for easy logging and notifications.
- Database & Async: Built-in tools for handling data and asynchronous tasks without boilerplate code.
β‘ Performance Comparison
- Vs. Skript: Native JVM Bytecode execution means 0% interpretation overhead and significantly lower CPU usage.
- Vs. Native Java: Development speed is 3x faster thanks to the Swift API shortcuts, while maintaining 100% of the raw power.
Installation:
- Drop
SwiftCodeEngine.jarandSwiftCodeAPI.jarinto your plugins folder. - Restart your server once.
- Start coding in
/plugins/SwiftCode/scripts/!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
