- PNG files in
glyphs/anditems/go into the pack. Every build copies them, so you don't have to put them underpack/assets/yourself. A PNG inglyphs/ends up attessera:font/<name>.png, which a glyph with the same id already uses by default. A PNG initems/(subfolders work too) ends up attessera:item/<path>.pngand gets a flatitem/generatedmodel if the pack has none for it. - An item with no
model:uses the PNG initems/that has its id as the file name. When it has nocustom_model_dataeither, it getsitem_model: tessera:<id>. That meansruby.pngplusruby: {material: PAPER}is enough for a working item. - The client refuses texture names with upper case letters and some other characters. Such PNGs are skipped, and the console says which file and why.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
