CIT-paper
This plugin aims to replace usage of CIT Resewn and OptiFine for custom item textures and models.
It includes automatic resourcepack conversion to ensure seamless transition (some features are still in development).
How to use?
- Drop the plugin into the plugins folder
- Start the server
- Enable resource packs conversion in the config
- Create a directory for resource pack(s) and put them there
- Set directory path as input directory in the config
- Set the output directory. It may be your server directory (in this case you'd want to disable output directory clearing) or, for example, external_packs directory of Nexo plugin
- Restart the server. Resource pack(s) will be converted and put into output directory. Also, config(s) will be generated
- Enable the converted resource pack(s). Now you can rename an item and it will work just like with CIT Resewn (hopefully)
Compatibility
Tested on Paper and Bukkit. Should also work on Spigot.

Technical details
This works by setting item_model component when items acquire corresponding state (it can be renaming, enchanting, damaging etc). Resource pack structure is changed accordingly to work with vanilla clients.
