✨ Theosis — New Commands, Arcane Anvil Fixes & Texture Pack 1.3!
Hey everyone! 💜
Another Theosis update is here!
I've been working on improvements, fixing issues reported by the community, and adding new options to make things easier for server administrators.
And of course, Texture Pack 1.3 is finally ready!
⚔️ Boss Command Improvements
Admins can now choose the rarity of the boss they want to spawn!
Examples:
/theosis boss spawn— Spawn a boss near yourself./theosis boss spawn KinkinxD— Spawn a boss near the specified player./theosis boss spawn KinkinxD MYTHIC— Spawn a boss with the specified rarity near that player.
Available rarities: COMMON, UNCOMMON, RARE, EPIC, and MYTHIC.
Without a rarity argument, the command keeps its existing random selection. Specifying a rarity uses the existing boss generator, including the corresponding statistics, equipment, and behavior.
✨ Cleaner Command Suggestions
Autocomplete now follows the command step by step:
/theosis bosssuggests onlyclearandspawn./theosis boss spawnsuggests online players./theosis boss spawn KinkinxDsuggests available rarities.
The existing boss-clearing commands remain available, too!
🎁 New Random Loot Command!
I've also added a command that gives an online player a random Theosis item with a specific rarity!
Examples:
/theosis loot COMMON KinkinxD/theosis loot EPIC KinkinxD/theosis loot MYTHIC KinkinxD
The player argument is required, whether you run the command in-game or from the console.
Rewards use the existing Theosis item system, including eligible weapons, tools, armor, and other equipment configured in your loot profiles.
The material and item type are randomly selected, so you never know exactly what you're going to get! xD
🌍 Materials Across Dimensions
For this command, materials are selected from all enabled loot profiles, regardless of the recipient’s current dimension.
That means being in the Overworld won’t limit command rewards to the Overworld’s material pool!
Materials that appear in multiple profiles do not receive extra weight just because they are listed more than once. The requested rarity is preserved, and the item still goes through Theosis’s existing generation process.
Natural loot keeps its existing dimension-specific rules. This expanded material selection applies only to the administrative loot command.
🛠️ Ready for Administrative Rewards
The command includes:
- Administrative permission checks.
- Rarity and player-name autocompletion.
- Validation for invalid rarities and unavailable players.
- Console execution support.
- Inventory overflow handling: items that cannot fit drop at the recipient’s feet.
This should be useful for server events, custom rewards, and command-based integrations with plugins like MythicMobs!
🔨 Arcane Anvil Fixes
Crafting After Reload
Fixed an issue where the Arcane Anvil could not be created properly after using /theosis reload.
Previously, administrators sometimes had to restart the entire server before they could create it again.
That should no longer be necessary!
Enchantment Limits — No More Accidental Mending II!
Fixed another issue where combining an enchanted item with a book could produce Mending II, even when Mending was configured to stop at level I.
The problem affected more than just Mending: the combination logic could increase enchantments beyond their configured limits.
The Arcane Anvil now checks those limits before applying an upgrade, while preserving valid combinations—including books containing multiple enchantments.
It also checks item compatibility and enchantment conflicts during the combination process.
🛠️ Improved Item Data Compatibility
Some servers reported problems with Theosis reading numeric data stored on items.
Certain values could be stored using different numeric formats, such as Byte, Integer, or Double.
This affected data related to:
- Gem sockets.
- Critical hit statistics.
- Lifesteal and absorption statistics.
- Gem-related item data.
I've improved numeric data handling to support these different formats more reliably.
This should help prevent errors when reading existing items and improve compatibility across different server environments.
Thank you to everyone who provided logs and helped identify these issues!
🎨 Texture Pack 1.3 — Arcane Workstations!
This is one of my favorite parts of the update!
While playing Theosis, I felt the workstations could use a little more personality, so I spent many hours redesigning them to make everything feel more magical and immersive.
Texture Pack 1.3 brings new and improved designs for:
- Arcane Chisel — Magical mechanisms, crystals, and animated details.
- Arcane Anvil — A refreshed arcane appearance with floating crystal elements and glowing runes.
- Arcane Library — A magical bookshelf design with an animated enchanted book.
- Arcane Decomposition — A custom model with magical machinery and activity-based animations.
📦 Automatic Resource Pack Delivery
Theosis now uses Texture Pack 1.3 for its built-in resource pack delivery, with updated download links and file hashes.
If you have auto_send: true enabled in resourcepack.yml, the plugin can offer the updated pack automatically when players join.
The matching pack is selected according to the server’s Minecraft version:
- Minecraft 1.21.x: Download Texture Pack 1.3
- Minecraft 26.x: Download Texture Pack 1.3
Your existing delivery settings remain in effect, including whether accepting the pack is optional or required.
No need to manually send everyone the new texture pack!
💜 Thank You!
I spent a lot of time working on these improvements, especially the new workstation designs.
I know the texture pack originally focused on gems, but I wanted to go a little further and make Theosis feel like its own magical experience.
And I have to say, I'm really happy with how everything turned out! xD
Thank you so much for your suggestions, bug reports, and continued support. Every report helps me improve Theosis, and I really appreciate it.
I hope you continue enjoying Theosis as much as I enjoy developing it! 💜
Happy enchanting! ✨
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
