Tidebreaker
Inspired by AltarSMP.
Base item: Netherite Sword
Command: /tidebreaker [player]
Permission: customweapons.tidebreaker (default: op)
Resource Pack: Install the AltarSMP Texture Pack - this plugin set is built around it and looks/sounds as intended with it installed.
Cross-Plugin Detection (/weapons)
Every AltarSMP weapon plugin registers /weapons [player], which hands you one weapon from every other AltarSMP plugin currently installed and enabled - a live check each run, nothing to configure.
Crafting Recipe
. I .
S I S
. S .
Where:
I= Prismarine CrystalsS= Stick
Drop the ingredients into a crafting table in that pattern (. = empty slot) to get the Tidebreaker. Recipe can be turned off in config.
Enchantments
- Sharpness V
- Sweeping Edge III
- Fire Aspect II
- Looting III
- Unbreaking III
- Mending I
8 Attack Damage, 1.6 Attack Speed (Netherite Sword-level, regardless of the weapon's own material). The item is also unbreakable.
config.yml
weapon:
cooldown-ability-1: 14
cooldown-ability-2: 8
recipe:
enabled: true
shape:
- " I "
- "SIS"
- " S "
ingredients:
I: PRISMARINE_CRYSTALS
S: STICK
Cooldowns are in seconds and reload from config on server start. Set recipe.enabled: false to disable crafting and hand the item out with /tidebreaker only.
Abilities & Triggers
| Trigger | Ability | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Right-Click | Stormcall | Summons a brief storm effect centered on you, striking the area over a short duration. |
| Shift+Right-Click | Rising Tide | Launches you upward on a splash of water particles, letting you ride the tide out of danger. |
Notes
- The weapon is bound to the player who receives it via a persistent NBT tag, so lore/name changes won't break ability detection.
- The activating player is never hit by their own ability's damage, knockback, or negative effects, even for area attacks, explosions and travelling projectiles/waves.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
