Vanish-X Changelog
All notable changes to the Vanish-X project will be documented in this file.
[1.26.1] - 2026-04-16
🚀 New Features
- Surgical Logic Engine: Introduced a dual-engine architecture.
- Normal Mode: Lightweight invisibility for standard staff.
- Advanced Mode: Deep state isolation, automatic inventory wipes, and staff tool distribution.
- Silent Engine Shift: Support for switching between Normal and Advanced modes while vanished without triggering join/leave messages or appearing to players.
- Vanish-X Dashboard: Ultra-modern, paged GUI for managing per-player settings with support for 1.8 through modern versions.
- Investigative Stealth: Surgical "View-Only" mode for container inspections. Vanished players can look at chests/Ender Chests without sounds or animations, while interaction is blocked for security.
🛠️ Hardening & Optimization
- Standardized Commands: Refactored the command system to be singular and more professional (e.g.,
/vanish settinginstead ofsettings, removed redundanton/offsubcommands). - Packet-Level Suppression: Hardened the silent container engine to intercept and cancel block animations and sound packets at the ProtocolLib level.
- Error Handling: Implemented a global
vanish.invalid-usagehandler for cleaner feedback across all subcommands. - Anti-Grief: Implemented surgical interaction locking to prevent vanished staff from breaking blocks or dropping items inadvertently.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed container sound leakage for observers during staff inspections.
- Resolved item "ghosting" issues when staff interactions were cancelled.
- Corrected state desynchronization when switching vanish modes via GUI while visible.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
