Overview
VebaStickers v1.9.0 is our most ambitious update to date. This release completely refactors the asset pipeline into a Zero-Redundancy Linking Engine (reducing pack size by 95%), introduces a Dual-Font Bridge providing native support from Minecraft 1.12.x all the way through 26.x+ Game Drops, and adds an interactive 3x3 Mega Vitrin Hitbox and Burst Send mechanics.
[Added]
- Universal Multi-Era Support (1.12.x – 26.x+ Game Drops):
- Dual-Font Bridge: Implemented an algorithmic 2048x2048 HD Unicode Font Sheet generator (
unicode_page_e1.png). Legacy 1.12.x clients now render crystal-clear HD stickers natively in chat without requiring client mods. - OptiFine CIT Integration: Automatically generates
.propertiesrules linking directly to master item textures. Legacy 1.12.x players now view custom sticker models inside GUI menus instead of blank paper items. - Universal Metadata: Updated
pack.mcmetato root format 3 withsupported_formats: [3, 99], eliminating "Incompatible Resource Pack" warnings across 9 years of Minecraft versions. - ViaVersion Dynamic Protocol Detection: Detects client protocol version upon connection and appends routing diagnostics (
?proto=340&target=legacyor?proto=769&target=modern).
- Dual-Font Bridge: Implemented an algorithmic 2048x2048 HD Unicode Font Sheet generator (
- Shift + Left Click: "Burst Send":
- Added instant sticker sending without closing the inventory menu. Players can now trigger rapid sticker combos similar to mobile messaging platforms (Discord/WhatsApp).
- Normal Left-Click sends and closes; Right-Click toggles personal favorites.
- 3x3 Mega Vitrin Showcase & 9-Slot Hitbox:
- Replaced the legacy 9-piece sliced grid with a unified 2.6x scaled mega model in the center slot.
- Adjacent 8 slots are kept empty (
AIR) to prevent borders from obstructing the graphic, while all 9 slots register in the click listener to provide a seamless continuous hitbox.
[Optimized]
- Zero-Redundancy Texture Linking (95% Pack Size Reduction):
- Completely abolished physical 3x3 tile slicing (
_tile_0..8PNGs and JSONs deleted, eliminating ~900 redundant files per 100 stickers). - Unified
textures/font/andtextures/item/into a single 128x128 Retina master PNG. GUI models, font glyphs, and CIT properties all reference this single file. - Pack size slashed from ~26 MB down to ~2.5 MB on production servers.
- Shaded JAR binary size optimized from 18 MB down to 1.2 MB.
- Completely abolished physical 3x3 tile slicing (
- Virtual ZIP Entry Streaming:
- Legacy 1.12.x plural texture paths (
textures/items/) are dynamically streamed directly into the ZIP archive in memory, requiring 0 bytes of physical disk duplication.
- Legacy 1.12.x plural texture paths (
- HTTP Delivery Engine:
- Added
X-Pack-Universalheaders and enhanced ETag caching (HTTP 304 Not Modified) to eliminate redundant client re-downloads.
- Added
[Fixed & Hardened]
- Inventory Exploit Guarding: Verified strict boundary validation (
slot < 0 || slot >= 54) and immediate event cancellation, preventing any item dragging or injection. - Bedrock TextDisplay Isolation: Hologram entities are explicitly masked from Bedrock clients (
setVisibleByDefault=false), preventing Geyser from miscalculating entity scale matrices on mobile devices. - Memory & Entity Cleanup: Implemented strict task cancellation and entity removal upon plugin shutdown or reload, preventing floating ghost displays.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
