Changes
VelocityReconnect 1.1.0
This update introduces automatic server detection and an optional gradual reconnect queue.
New Features
- Automatic server detection is now the default.
- No backend plugin or Limbo server is required.
- Automatic and manual reconnect modes can be configured per server.
- Optional per-server timing overrides.
- Optional FIFO queue for gradually reconnecting players.
- Configurable batch size and delay between batches.
- Waiting players see Reconnecting once the backend is confirmed online.
Improvements
- Players waiting for the same backend share one availability scanner.
- A real Minecraft connection must succeed before queued batches begin.
- Failed reconnects automatically return to the queue.
- Queue and scanner tasks shut down cleanly.
- Existing config versions 23 and 24 remain supported.
- Improved configuration comments and safer example server names.
Configuration
- Config version updated to
25. - Automatic mode uses the global scanner settings by default.
- Manual settings are ignored when automatic mode is selected.
- Queue settings can be configured globally or per server.
- The reconnect queue is disabled by default.
/velocityreconnect reloadapplies changes to future reconnect sessions.
No Limbo server or backend plugin is required.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
