DailyRewards v1.2.0
Version 1.2.0 adds new admin tools, better testing options and improved player feedback. This update focuses on making DailyRewards easier to manage, easier to test and more comfortable for players to use.
New Features
New Admin Commands
Several new admin commands were added to make testing and managing the plugin easier.
Added commands:
/dailyadmin reload/dailyadmin debug <player>/dailyadmin open <player>/dailyadmin claimfor <player>
Admin Debug Command
The new debug command shows useful information about a player’s current daily reward status.
It can help admins check:
- current streak
- last claim date
- current reward day
- whether the player can claim today
- what reward would be available next
This makes it much easier to find configuration or player-data issues.
Open Daily Menu for Other Players
Admins can now open the daily reward menu for another player with:
/dailyadmin open <player>
This is useful for support, testing or showing players how the system works.
Claim Rewards for Players
Admins can now force a reward claim for a player with:
/dailyadmin claimfor <player>
This is useful for testing reward commands, checking streak behavior or manually helping players.
Join Notification
Players can now receive a notification when they join the server and have a daily reward available.
This feature can be configured and can include:
- chat message
- actionbar message
- optional automatic GUI opening after joining
Auto-opening is disabled by default to avoid annoying players, but server owners can enable it if they want.
Claim Sound
A configurable sound can now be played when a player claims a daily reward.
The sound, volume and pitch can be changed in the config.
Example:
claim-effects:
sound:
enabled: true
name: "ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP"
volume: 1.0
pitch: 1.0
Improved Reward Preview
Reward display lines are now better integrated into the GUI.
The placeholder:
%reward_display_lines%
can be used in item lore to show what a reward contains.
Example:
display:
- "&f8x Bread"
- "&a5 XP Levels"
This makes it easier for players to see what they will receive before claiming a reward.
Improved Language Fallbacks
Language file handling has been improved.
If a new message key is missing from an existing language file, the plugin can now fall back more safely instead of instantly showing missing or broken messages.
This makes updates easier for servers that already customized their language files.
Debug Mode
A debug mode was added to the config.
When enabled, the plugin can print more detailed information to the console, which helps when testing or troubleshooting reward logic.
Improvements
- Better admin control over player reward data
- Easier reward testing without waiting for real days
- Better join feedback for available rewards
- More useful GUI reward previews
- More configurable claim feedback
- Improved update safety for language files
- README updated for the new features
Notes
This update is recommended for all servers using DailyRewards v1.1.0.
When updating, replace the old plugin .jar and make sure only one DailyRewards file exists in the plugins folder.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
