1.2.1
Compatibility
Changes
Array arguments were being dropped. events_query and state_query answered questions nobody asked, and said nothing about it.
Fixed
A types or permissions list is now read rather than discarded.
Asking a live server for BlockRedstoneEvent returned HopperInventorySearchEvent. On a busy server that reads as "lots of events" rather than as a bug — the filter was gone and the query answered something else entirely.
These tools are proxied by mcp-server, which publishes them without a parameter schema because it cannot know one until a session exists. A client with no types to work from therefore sends every argument as a string. Numbers survived that, since parsing them is forgiving; arrays hit an isArray() check, failed it, and became a null filter.
state_query's permissions had the same fault and a worse symptom. A dropped list comes back as "permissions": [], which does not look like a lost argument — it looks like the player has none. Every permission check made through that tool was answering that.
Arrays, arrays written as strings, and plain comma-separated names all work now, and an argument that cannot be read is refused instead of quietly returning everything.
Upgrading
The agent jar is the one that matters here — the fix is server-side. mcp-server.jar and bot-runner-772.jar are unchanged from 1.2.0 apart from their version string.
1.2.0 shipped without this fix. Use this release instead.
Setup and usage: README
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
