Changes
The big one. VJobs is now split into the plugin and a public API, and gained most of what was on the wish list.
Progression
- Perk trees per job. Points come from levels and prestige; perks give extra money or XP, double drops, auto-replanting, rare fishing loot, permissions or run commands.
/vjobs perks. - Weekly quests next to the daily ones (
period: weekly,quests.per-week,quests.weekly-reset-day). - Prefix with prestige stars for chat and placeholders (
titles.prefix). - New jobs: Cook, Trader, Redstoner, Tamer, Archaeologist, Blacksmith. The Explorer now also pays for distance.
- New actions:
BRUSH,TRAVEL,ELYTRA.
Economy and balance
- Payouts can go to Vault, PlayerPoints, CoinsEngine or a console command, per job (
economy:). - Diminishing returns for mass farming, on by default.
- Dynamic prices that follow what the whole server does, off by default.
- Daily cap per job, raised by permission.
- Tax into a server fund (
/vjobs admin fund). - Payouts are summed up into one line; action bar, boss bar with level progress, chat or nothing.
Anti-exploit
- Placed blocks are remembered in the chunk data and stay worthless after a restart. Planted crops pay again once they are grown (in 1.x they paid nothing).
- Spawner mobs can pay a share instead of nothing (
spawner-mob-multiplier); detection now survives restarts on Paper. - Silk touch on ores pays nothing.
- AFK detection, on by default with 5 minutes.
- WorldGuard flag
vjobs-payout.
Events and community
- Contests with standings, rewards and an optional schedule.
- Boost events on a cron schedule, and
/vjobs admin boostcan target single jobs. - Team goals for Towny, Lands and SimpleClans.
- Overall leaderboard (
/vjobs top total), cached leaderboards, more placeholders including%jobs_top_<job>_<rank>_name%for holograms. - Discord webhook for milestone levels, prestiges and contest winners.
Menus and commands
- Perk shop, statistics page (money earned, actions, time worked, most common action), weekly row in the quest menu, progress and buttons in the job info.
/vjobs prices <job>,/vjobs contest,/vjobs statsas a menu.- Admin:
contest,fund,resetperks,import jobsreborn.
Technical
- Runs on Folia.
- Public API (
com.vjobs:vjobs-api, Apache-2.0) with events, economy backends and group providers. - Autosaves write all players in one transaction; leaderboard menus and signs read from a cache.
- Importer for Jobs Reborn databases.
Existing configs keep working. New options use their defaults until you add them; see the wiki page on installing for the list of things that behave differently without an entry.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
