🧠 How LifestealGuard Protects Your Server
LifestealGuard acts as a strict digital bouncer for your Minecraft server. It uses a three-layer security system to ensure that only legitimate players can connect.
1. The IP-Lock Mechanism (Anti-Hijack)
The moment a player joins the server on their main account, LifestealGuard links that specific Minecraft username to their current internet IP address.
- The Protection: If a hacker steals that player's password or session token, they still cannot log in. The plugin will detect the hacker's different IP address and instantly block the connection.
- The Result: Complete protection against account hijacking and credential stuffing.
2. Live VPN & Proxy Detection
When a player attempts to connect, the plugin analyzes the incoming connection request before allowing them into the world.
- The Protection: It checks the connection against a database of known commercial VPNs, hosting providers, and open proxies.
- The Result: Ban-evaders and hackers cannot hide their identity or sneak back onto your server using a VPN.
3. Anti-Alt Account Prevention
By monitoring active network connections, the plugin ensures fair gameplay.
- The Protection: It stops players from registering or playing on multiple alternate accounts from the same internet connection.
- The Result: Prevents players from exploiting the Lifesteal system, farming hearts, or bypassing economy limits using alts.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
