v1.1.4
Compatibility
Changes
This version brings major changes to the plugin. The changes in this version include:
- The provided jar file can now run on Minecraft versions between 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3
- Added more dialogues for merchants based on their personality
- Instead of having a fixed text that is sent to the player when a merchant spawns, each merchant now has their own spawn text
- You can now set the spawn radius for how far away a merchant will spawn from the player
- Config file has been updated to allow a lot of customizations for each merchant such as their:
- Name
- Shop
- Skin
- Dialogues
- Whether the merchant should glow when it is spawned
- Spawn text
- The material, name and lore for the icon that leads to the merchant's shop and the icon that leads to the merchant's SellGUI
- Allows a merchant to be enabled or disabled
- Customization of the merchant's item such as:
- Name
- Lore
- Custom model data
- Crafting recipe The configuration of all the built-in merchants are provided in the default config. Many fields such as diaglogues, item name and item lore supports MiniMessage formatting (like Bold text). Make sure to read the default config's comments for more information
- Switched to a new system for identifying whether the item given to a merchant is the correct item or not by looking at the item's ID (also configurable through the config) instead of the item's lore
- Renamed the field names of metadata that is stored within merchant NPCs
Due to major changes in the plugin's internal structure, merchant NPCs and the merchant items generated by the old version of this plugin are now outdated.
This version of the plugin automatically updates all the old merchant NPCs to the newest format when server is started however it is not possible to update all the items. Because of this, outdated merchant items are still accepted by merchants (assuming server owners do not change the default item IDs) and players who have the old items are requested to update them to the newest format by executing /migrate_item command while holding the item.
Server owners are requested to update their plugin's jar as soon as possible because in future releases of this plugin, I will drop all support for the outdated format which includes the automatic update of merchant NPCs, the /migrate_item command and merchants will stop accepting old items.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
