.jarnow covers 1.13 through 26.3 — no more guessing which build to grab. - Java 25 ready, matching the new Minecraft 26.1+ requirement.
- Per-player On/Off Switch 🔛
/wm onand/wm offlet any player disable WelcomeMat just for themselves.- Preferences persist between restarts.
- Admins stay in control: set
features.allow-player-toggle: falseto lock it down.
- New Languages 🌍
- Full translations for French, Romanian, German, and Chinese Simplified.
- The Language menu now builds itself automatically from whatever languages you have installed.
- Permissions Overhaul 🔐
- Handy parent groups:
welcomemat.player,welcomemat.admin, andwelcomemat.*. - Granular nodes for
gui,splash,animation.test,pack.create, andpack.mode. - Autocomplete now only suggests commands you're actually allowed to use.
- Handy parent groups:
🎨 Interface Overhaul
- Rebuilt settings menu with clear labelled sections so nothing feels like a guessing game.
- New buttons: Animations, Join Effects, and your personal WelcomeMat toggle — all in one place.
- Bug fix: the Join Effects toggle no longer overwrites the Language button.
- Restyled help panel (
/wm) with cleaner colors and permission-aware entries.
🧹 Cleaner Configuration
- Say goodbye to
sounds.join.sound— use/wm config set join-sound ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP. - Friendly names like
join-sound,leave-sound, andmessage-packeverywhere, in the GUI, commands, and console. - Sounds now read "Player Level Up" instead of
ENTITY_PLAYER_LEVELUP.
🔄 Compatibility
- Fully tested on Bukkit/Spigot, Paper, Purpur, and Folia from Minecraft 1.13 through 26.3.
- Region-aware schedulers provide a single-jar solution for both standard and Folia-based servers.
- Minecraft 26.1+ requires Java 25 at runtime.
🐛 Fixes & Maintenance
- Confetti Burst no longer spams
missing required data class org.bukkit.Coloron 26.x. - Fixed operators being wrongly skipped by welcome messages.
- Modernized all sound name fallbacks for long-term compatibility.
- Config migration is now more robust — new languages appear even if migration is skipped.
Thanks for using WelcomeMat!

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
