Villages that were going to be generated in seeds without using the datapack/mod will still generate exactly were they should (no changes).
New biomes in which villages can spawn now: Snow:
- Ice spikes
- Snowy slopes Plains:
- Sunflower plains
- Forest
- Flower forest
- Windswept forest Savanna:
- Savanna plateau
- Windswept savanna Taiga:
- Snowy taiga (like bedrock edition + spawns with snow on the roofs)
- Old growth spruce taiga
- Old growth pine taiga
Modified files (replace=false):
- data\minecraft\tags\worldgen\biome\has_structure\village_plains
- data\minecraft\tags\worldgen\biome\has_structure\village_savanna
- data\minecraft\tags\worldgen\biome\has_structure\village_snowy
- data\minecraft\tags\worldgen\biome\has_structure\village_taiga
You are allowed to modify this mod/datapack to your liking.
How the file works:
- There are 4 files, one for each village (you can add the file for desert villages if you want to add it to more biomes.)
- You can add custom biomes to the list if you want, but be sure to use their exact technical name, otherwise the file will break.
- If you do not see any changes after running the game with modified files, then you are doing something wrong, check for any errors in the files you modified.
- The "replace=false" means that the file does not replace the vanilla file, it just adds more biomes to the tag. So if you want to remove the vanilla biomes in which the villages spawn, switch it to "true". Be careful though as other mods or datapacks could use this file and replacing it could break them!
