Deep under the Overworld, the caves are in bloom.
Underbloom adds a vast fungal cave biome to the bottom of the world: halls hundreds of blocks across, lit by giant glowing mushrooms and home to creatures you'll half recognise. Like the lush caves and the deep dark, it's built to feel like it was always part of the game.
About
- 3 new cave biomes
- 4 new mobs and a new frog variant
- 3 giant mushroom species and a whole set of fungal blocks
- Buried catacombs to loot
- A new music disc
The Underbloom
Dig deep enough and you might break into the Underbloom: huge caverns down near bedrock, about the size of the ones around an ancient city. Most of it is mushroom forest, with Glowcaps, Veilcaps and Indigo Milkcaps several blocks taller than you, and hyphae hanging off the caps and shelf fungi on the walls.

What lives down there
Most of the Underbloom's creatures are relatives of vanilla mobs that have spent too long underground.
