Beta 0.7.5 · NeoForge 1.21.1
Project Explosive is in beta. All features are experimental and bugs may occur, particularly during large explosions. Survival and multiplayer are supported; the client and server must run the same version.
Burnt+ Addition is strongly recommended. It is not required, but the mod is designed to be played with it.

Aircraft bombs that can be dropped from the air, or placed and detonated with redstone.
- Mk 82, Mk 84 and Fat Man
- High-explosive, fragmentation and cluster warheads
- Proximity, delay and penetrator fuses
- Guidance kit that glides a bomb onto its target
- Munitions Workbench for assembling bombs and missiles
- Airstrike Caller, which calls in five Mk 82s on a selected target

Long-range missiles guided by target papers.
- Light, heavy, nuclear and cluster ICBMs with detachable boosters
- The cluster ICBM releases 28 rockets above its target
- Target papers, written by hand or created with the Target Designator, which also works on Distant Horizons terrain
- Air Raid Siren, triggered by incoming missiles and bombs, with a redstone output

A complete nuclear detonation, from the flash to the fallout.
- Mushroom cloud, shockwave, crater and collapsing structures
- A flash that destroys everything exposed nearby and burns the shadows of its victims into the ground
- Flash Goggles to protect against the flash
- Persistent fallout and radiation sickness
- Lead blocks, hazmat suit, RadAway and iodine tablets to reduce exposure
- Geiger Counter to measure radiation

Land hit by a nuclear explosion becomes a wasteland. The ground turns teal, trees die and blacken, and mushrooms, shelf fungi and glowing lichen spread across it.

- Landmines, sandbags, barbed wire, camouflage netting and a trench shovel
- Trenches that flood in the rain
- Generated trench lines, bunkers, underground nuclear shelters and rare missile silos with a launchable missile
Experimental fire tools can be enabled with the Fire Tools setting.

Compatibility
- Sodium, Embeddium and Distant Horizons are supported
- Sable ships, including those from Create: Aeronautics, can be damaged by bombs
- Create: Radars detects bombs and missiles
- Nuclear lighting works without shaders; with a shaderpack active, the flash uses a simplified effect
Particle quality, explosion volume, camera shake, flash strength and Dark Flash can be adjusted in the settings.
Compatibility features are experimental.

For Developers
Project Explosive provides an API that lets other mods use its explosions. The API is included in the mod jar: add the jar to your libs/ folder and compile against it.
API guide
dependencies {
compileOnly files('libs/projectexplosive-0.7.5-beta.jar')
}
For testing, place the same jar in run/mods/. All calls run server side.
// Detonate a bomb: blast, crater, shockwave and effects
ProjectExplosiveAPI.detonate(level, pos, BombKind.MK84, 1.0F);
// Drop or fire a live bomb (velocity in blocks per tick); it explodes on impact
ProjectExplosiveAPI.drop(level, pos, velocity, BombKind.MK82, 1.0F);
// Play an explosion effect without damage
ProjectExplosiveAPI.playEffect(level, "big_bomb", pos);
// Add radiation (strength, duration in ticks) or read it at a position
ProjectExplosiveAPI.addRadiation(level, blockPos, 5.0, 1200);
double radiation = ProjectExplosiveAPI.radiationAt(level, position);
Available bomb kinds are MK82, MK84, CLUSTER and NUCLEAR. Scale ranges from 0.1 to 1, where 1 is the standard size.
ExplosiveEvent.Detonate is posted on NeoForge.EVENT_BUS just before a bomb detonates; cancelling it removes the bomb. IcbmInterceptedEvent is posted when an ICBM is shot down.
To declare an optional dependency in neoforge.mods.toml:
[[dependencies.yourmod]]
modId = "projectexplosive"
type = "optional"
versionRange = "[0.7.5-beta,)"
ordering = "NONE"
side = "BOTH"
Check ModList.get().isLoaded("projectexplosive") before calling the API.
Only com.project.explosive.api is stable between versions. The rest of the mod is obfuscated and may change at any time.
