Low Static Fire
Low Static Fire is a small client-side Fabric mod that replaces vanilla fire and soul fire with low, static flames.
It is built for PvP, survival, and any setup where vanilla fire blocks too much of the screen. Unlike low-fire resource packs, this works as a real mod: install it once, keep your current resource packs, and get static low fire automatically.
Why This Mod Exists
Most low-fire and static-fire solutions are resource packs. Low Static Fire takes a different approach: it changes the client-side baked block model for fire directly.
That means:
- no resource pack slot is needed;
- no resource pack priority problems;
- no animated fire blocking your view;
- no changes to server-side gameplay.
As far as I could find, this is the only standalone mod that offers static low fire without requiring a resource pack.
Features
- Replaces regular fire with a 3-pixel-tall static flame.
- Replaces soul fire with a matching low static soul flame.
- Keeps the flame bright and readable.
- Works automatically after installation.
- Does not change damage, light, hitboxes, block states, or server behavior.
- Client-side only.
Compatibility
Required:
- Minecraft 1.21.11
- Fabric Loader 0.18.5+
- Fabric API
- Java 21
This mod only changes local rendering. It should be safe to use on servers where client-side visual mods are allowed.
Notes
Low Static Fire does not include a settings screen. Its purpose is intentionally narrow: install the mod, launch the game, and fire becomes low and static.
